The Tanzania Dental Association (TDA) is a professional association of all oral health personnel in Tanzania, founded on April 2, 1980. The association is affiliated with the World Dental Federation (FDI), the African Regional Organization (ARO) under FDI, and the Common Wealth Dental Association. A board of trustees oversees all activities of the association, and a management committee runs day-to-day operations. All members of the association have equal rights and privileges to attend all association activities. To all our partners and supporters, we appreciate very much how you reach the community through the association, and we cherish your support and endeavor. For over 40 years, we served all members and united them to render service to the community, and we are looking ahead for more years to come, especially towards realizing the vision 2030 of delivering optimal oral health for all. A new website has been designed to help better serve the public and our members, as well as to support our mandate of public protection. New features include online membership registration for both dentist and dental assistant members as well; the new member side of the website will have access to more resources on a variety of topics of interest; the ability to access payment histories; and a new feature of oral health promotion to the public.
